Manual update Nexus One ERE27
// February 4th, 2010 // Android
Here is my success manual update Nexus One from unlocked and installed superboot.
** Warning check your build number is ERD79 before continue **
** After update you will lost Root Permission on the nexus one **
** You need to flash modaco superboot to get it Root again **
Require:
1. Newest Android SDK with usb driver and fastboot
First of all you need to download update file from here:
https://android.clients.google.com/updates/passion/signed-passion-ERE27-from-ERD79.a487b405.zip (15MB.)
and the original nexus one boot rom
http://www.mediafire.com/?m2wmlmmz4zm (2MB.)
Now follow step below carefully:
1. Connect your Nexus One with USB cable and mount
2. Rename signed-passion-ERE27-from-ERD79.a487b405.zip to update.zip then copy it to removable drive (XP)
3. Extract boot.img in 22607-ERD79-update-nexusone-stock-signed-boot-img.zip and copy to PATH-TO\android-sdk-windows\tools
3. Shutdown your Nexus One and reboot into fastboot mode (press track ball+power)
4. In windows command run
fastboot devices
(If you does not see any device show up, you need to install usb driver for fastboot mode)
5. Flash boot partition to the original
fastboot flash boot boot.img
6. Now in your nexus one menu select Bootloader then press power button
7. Wait until you see android logo with caution mark !
8. Enter to recovery menu by hold power button + volumn up
7. Use track-ball scroll to ‘apply sdcard:update.zip’ and press track-ball
8. Wait until the update process complete then in menu select reboot (you must select from menu)
9. Complete and enjoy your multi-touch phone

Thank you so much.
Hi –
Thanks for posting this – BUT – I followed your instructions, and when I select “bootloader” (on the phone), it shows some text messages, including “no image or wrong image”, then exits back to menu (FASTBOOT, RECOVERY, CLEAR STORAGE…. etc).
I bought mine today at MBK, I live in Pratunan (bangkok). Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks, kap khun khrab!

Nevermind – it was a bad copy of boot.img in the zip file. I downloaded the entire package of boot images from modaco ( http://www.romraid.com/paul/nexusone/22607-ERD79-update-nexusone-stock-images.zip ) and used boot.img from there.
And then it worked
Keng mak, multi-touch, chob! ( ok, pom poot pasaa thai mai dai, 555+)
